Weekend

Ugh -- what a stressful day I've had -- between the director of 2 Gents who just does whatever he wants (he doesn't understand what a Producer does or he understands but just choses to ignore me) and the Tennis Hall who wants Robert to do all their tech background work for a special event without paying him, I feel like -- well, like eating 6 Oreos -- which I did. I did go to yoga today but then when I showed up to spinning (late due to all the fires) I didn't get a bike (although I had one reserved -- boo). So, I didn't get my full workout today. Haven't had dinner yet and it's 7:15 but besides the oreos (270 calories) I had a luna bar (200), a banana, a granola bar (100), a microwavable mexican thing (200) and 2 diet cokes. So, it's not like I've had a lot, just nothing substantial which is a problem. You can't lose weight if you just eat junk. Tomorrow will be interesting for food as I'm going on a class field trip with students to NYC. We leave at 6AM (Lord, help me) and return at 10PM. I plan on having lunch at Ven Palate -- yummy and healthy but we'll see how else the day goes as I'm in a show from 2-5pm and we leave at 6pm so not sure how or what I'll get for dinner!

  1. Good luck today Suz! I hope you get to enjoy yourself a little bit in NYC! Bummer about your day yesterday - just move on. :)
    I got home really late last night and just crashed. But I had my normal omelette for breakfast and for lunch I had a caesar salad with tuna salad on it instead of chicken - my favorite at Panera. Dinner was quick - just 2 Boars Head hot dogs - they are sugar free & don't have all the crap in them that most dogs do. I had a red bell pepper with that. After the show I was hungry so I snacked on some little cheese squares & tiny bites of beef sticks. I also packed some almonds so I ate those too. Another teacher threw a party so after the shows were done we went there. I had a glass of wine. Just one! But I managed to stay away from the cookies and the brownies! I went to the gym & did the elliptical for 40 minutes. I didn't do abs because my back was still hurting. I'm not sure I will have time to get to the gym today because our closing show is a matinee & then the cast party after. But def tomorrow I will get there. :) Keep it up!

  2. Hope NYC was awesome Suz! :) Yesterday was a giant cluster of business so I didn't really track what I ate. I did go to the gym and get an hour of cardio in but when I got back I had to make three batches of cupcakes and of course I had to taste each one to make sure they were up to par!

    I'm not going to get to the gym today and it'd have to be at night tomorrow but I did spend the morning planting a garden so I hope that counts for something! :) Put a brisket in the smoker for dinner and had a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

  3. Oh I do love cupcakes!!

    I made it to the gym today - did 40 minutes of cardio and then some abs. It felt great. :) I'm weighing myself tomorrow...we'll see how it goes.

    I had my normal omelette for breakfast, then turkey burger patties with steamed broccoli & shredded cheese melted on top. A dallop of sour cream as well. I didn't have time for dinner because I went straight to work, but I did have a piece of salmon (extra from the event I worked) so I got some good protein in there...just no veggies. A handful of almonds for a snack.

    We had spring rolls at the event today - I didn't have any!! yay me!

  4. I weighed myself this morning. 1/2 a pound. I shouldn't be annoyed...but I am. Blah.

  5. 1/2 a pound is still in the right direction!

    My muscles are tight today and I haven't gone to the gym yet. I also feel like I'm about to get sick, so I guess now is an important time to head to the gym, maybe I'll feel better afterward. I wasn't dedicated last week as much as I could've been, but I still managed to lose 2 pounds. Since January, it's been 16 pounds. I leave for Germany on the 21st of May, I'm hoping I can lose maybe another 10...
