Goal Check In

Lindsay: Your goal was to lose 5 pounds by May 13th. How'd you do? What's your next goal??

For me, I'm still very inconsistent. I ran a 5k on Sunday and then didn't work out all week until my yoga class on Friday and boy was that class tough. It really opened my eyes to the fact that it's all related -- Spinning makes me a better yogi and yoga makes me a better runner. Etc. Time to keep training and hit the gym every day!

  1. Hey guys!! Well, I lost 4 of those 5 pounds. Then, I went home for 10 days and didn't exercise - but only gained a 1/2 pound back. WHEW! I got my physical today at the doc - I am overweight, but I knew that. I need to be consistant, ladies!! Work out every day even if I work that morning!! Let's do it! I am 179.5 and I would like to weigh 170 by July 1. Think that is possible?

  2. You can definitely do it Lindsay! I have been pretty consistent with my goals, I did go to the gym 5 times last week but eating wise was horrible. Friday the 13th was my birthday and my friends took me out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, and then there were two cakes when I got home. I decided to make bread and of course I had to try everything.

    But two weeks from tomorrow I leave for Germany, and I'm going to kick it up a notch at the gym. I'm going to try and go 6 days a week since I'm not really working much and I have the time. I'm debating if I really want to continue to weight myself since now that I'm lifting weights, the scale may not be as accurate since I'm gaining muscle. Maybe I should start taking my measurements instead.

  3. Taking measurements is a good idea. I did that when I was consistantly running last year, because I wasn't losing weight. But I was losing inches!

    My problem is my job is so damn tiring - I don't feel like exercising if I don't go in the morning! But I'm going to make it a point of going before every shift this weekend. I took today off because I didn't get home until after 1 am last night. My muscles were sore anyway from yesterday's weight lifting class, so that's ok.

    I gotta get up tomorrow and go. I can do it!
